Cave Rock Aurora
Seeing the Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights) once in Tahoe is incredibly rare. Seeing it twice in one year is practically unheard of. I was aware that there was a strong chance of seeing the Aurora in the lower 48 so I headed to Cave Rock to try to get another glimpse of it. The glow was visible with the naked eye. There were a handful of people watching the Aurora. I stepped out on the dock and captured this scene as Cave Rock became illuminated by car headlights entering and exiting the tunnel.
