New Year’s Day 2022, it had snowed the night before and I had been wanting to capture an image of Mount Tallac like this for quite a while. The temperature this morning was -4ºF, definitely the coldest temperature I’ve ever taken photos in. In between shots, I had to warm up my camera in my jacket. By the time I made it back to the car, my fingers were numb. It was one of the prettiest yet brutal sunrises I’ve experienced.
