Zephyr Comet
October 2024 was quite a month of night photography. Comet C/2023 A3 (Tsuchinshan-ATLAS), over 40 million miles away from Earth in this photograph, made an appearance for most of the month. The comet will not be visible again for approximately 80,000 years. There was some haze on the horizon from prescribed fires on the west shore, but the comet made its appearance right above the haze.
